Welcome to Scouts The Malverns website
Thank you for your patience and support while we develop this website further and get everything right. If you spot any particular problems or anything that is wrong, please let us know via the contact form.
Who we are
We are Scouts The Malverns, part of the UK’s biggest mixed youth organisation. We change lives by offering 4 to 25 year olds fun and challenging activities, unique experiences, everyday adventure and skills for life. Our first Squirrel Drey (4 to 6) in the District opened last year and is oversubscribed – with more to come if we can find enough new volunteers.
Scouts helps children and young adults reach their full potential. We help young people to get jobs, save lives and even change the world.
There’s always a lot going on in Scouting, from meetings for young people almost every day of the week to camps, activities and adventures every weekend! These can be a Beaver’s first night away from home all the way up to an Explorer or Network member climbing to to top of their first mountain.
The Malverns Scout District covers a large area in both Herefordshire and Worcestershire, all around the Malvern Hills, including:
Malvern
Ledbury
Upton-upon-Severn
Leigh
Colwall
Bosbury
Cradley
There are 11 Scout Groups (one with Squirrels and most with Beavers, Cubs and Scouts), 6 Explorer Scout Units and Scout Network. The District has its own campsite Warren Oak near Staplow. Scouts Recycled (Active Support) and the Baden-Powell Guild are also very active in our District.
Warren Oak, our great District Campsite, has it’s own website (www.warrenoak.org.uk). With extensive camping and activity fields, indoor accommodation and a toilet / shower block all within sight of the Malverns Hills it’s ideal for a wide range of events.
